Tickets to the Simmons Bank Showdown, featuring the TCU Horned Frogs and the Utah Utes men’s basketball teams, are set to go on sale this Friday, Sept. 17 at 10 a.m. on Ticketmaster.com.

The former Mountain West Conference teams will tip-off at Dickies Arena on Wednesday, Dec. 8. at 7:00 p.m.. Television broadcast information will be announced at a later date.

“The Simmons Bank Showdown is a great matchup for these iconic rivals and Simmons Bank is honored to be the presenting sponsor,” said Lori Baldock, Fort Worth market president. “We look forward to the community joining us and cheering on their team inside Dickies Arena!”

This will mark the first regular-season contest between TCU and Utah in men’s basketball since the Utes snuck past the Horned Frogs 50-48 inside the John M. Huntsman Center in 2011.

“We are excited to revive two former conference teams at Dickies Arena,” said Trail Drive Management Corp.’s Matt Homan, president and general manager of Dickies Arena. “This contest is the perfect addition to our list of collegiate basketball games in Fort Worth and we are excited to host our local TCU Horned Frogs in another showdown.”
