WACO, Texas – Baylor men’s basketball will face the Louisville Cardinals in a non-conference matchup next season, announced Thursday in conjunction with ESPN Events.
Televised on ESPN platforms, the game will be played Feb. 14, 2026, at Dickies Arena in Fort Worth, Texas. Game time, programming and ticket information will be released at a later date.
One of just five schools to be ranked inside the top 10 in each of the last six seasons, Baylor is coming off a school-record sixth consecutive NCAA Tournament appearance. In addition to extending the nation’s fifth-longest active postseason streak, BU won a tournament game for a sixth straight year, becoming one of just three teams in the country to boast that distinction.
Just the second all-time meeting between the two programs will be the first since a 66-63 Bear victory in the 2016 Battle 4 Atlantis Championship game. The contest will mark Baylor’s third at Dickies Arena after playing the first and second rounds of the 2022 NCAA Tournament at the Fort Worth venue.
The Bears have experienced a recent run of success in the Metroplex, winning five-straight games, including the last two non-conference contests. Most recently, BU beat No. 16 Arkansas 72-67 in a top-25 showdown at the American Airlines Center in Dallas, Texas last November.

LOUISVILLE, Ky. – University of Louisville men’s basketball is slated to play a neutral-site matchup against Baylor at Dickies Arena in Fort Worth, Texas, on February 14, 2026, announced Thursday in coordination with ESPN Events.
The game will be televised on ESPN platforms, with game time, programming and ticket information to be released at a later date.
Louisville has played Baylor only once in the program’s history. The Cardinals and Bears matched up in the Battle 4 Atlantis Championship on Nov. 25, 2016, with Bears holding off the Cards 66-63.
This will be Louisville’s second scheduled neutral-site contest of the 2025-26 season. It was announced earlier that Louisville and Indiana will face off Dec. 6 in Gainbridge Fieldhouse in Indianapolis, Ind., Louisville is expected to announce its full schedule later this summer.
